Paestum (in the municipality of Capaccio) located south of the Amalfi Coast and north of the Cilento National Park, is an open book on the magnitude and universality of Greek culture. The three Doric temples, the Basilica, the Temple of Ceres and the Temple of Neptune, come down to us in good condition rise beyond the intact circle of the walls, the most conspicuous example of fortification of the Greek cities of the West. In the National Archaeological Museum signal the collection of vases depicting mythological scenes and the famous Tomb of the Diver, which symbolizes the passage between life and death.
