Leave in the morning from Paestum to Padula located in Vallo di Diano.
Old Carthusian monastery built in XIV century by the family Sanseverino of New Marsico. It is a wonderful example of Renaissance architecture convent. Elements of leading cells of the monks each one equipped with various local and its own garden, the refectory's hall is particularly care, the Church choirs inlaid with salt and other features decorated by frescoes and furnishings made of it over the centuries. Free lunch.
In the afternoon visit of Pertosa's caves. The tour inside the caves begins with a small but evocative crossing by boat on the green waters of the underground river . The guide (included in the entrance ticket) will drive the boat for about 200 metres to the heart of the mountain and the source from where start different paths. Departure in the late afternoon for the return to Paestum.
